Words Grow Minds campaign launch – Early Years Taskforce

Overview

CALLIE undertook a breakout project with Raising Literacy Australia (RLA) to launch a new critical early year’s campaign developed by the Early Years Taskforce, Words Grow Minds.

The Early Years Taskforce created Words Grow Minds to support the developmental outcomes of South Australian children in the critical foundation years, and ultimately reverse the upward trend in children starting school developmentally vulnerable across the State.

Approach

CALLIE supported all media relations for the campaign launch in both Mount Gambier and metro Adelaide, in conjunction with South Australian Premier, Peter Malinauskas’ office.

Outcomes

• CALLIE successfully coordinated a press call with the SA Premier’s office to launch the campaign, which included coverage across all major broadcast, radio, digital and press outlets in Adelaide and Mount Gambier.

• More than 50 pieces of dedicated media coverage was secured reaching an audience in excess of 2 million.
